Oh lovely Spring..

Its starting to feel like spring here! Winter was pretty awful. I am not a snow/cold person. I think I am just not use to the snow, but still I am glad its over for now. Winter just makes me want to hibernate and do nothing. I have been lacking in post lately.
Here is a spring mix for your listening pleasure. I am really into these songs right now. I have recently invested in a Eno hammock and its perfect for relaxing and listening to some great tunes. I love my Eno Hammock so far!

Erie, Folky Playlist

In the spirit of October and Halloween Ive created a playlist consisting of some songs that I think have a eerie, spooky kinda vibe. Some having children choirs and others being instruments creating the eerie melodies. Anyways Enjoy.

I swear, we were infinite MIX

So I have been trying to have the motivation to study for RVT (vascular registry). As most of you know, I got a job out in Charlottesville, VA. I have 6 months to pass my vascular registry for the job, but I already applied to take it so I have until May 26th. Since this is a new job and they do alot of exams I have never seen before in clinic I need to go over everything again!! So I made a study, chill playlist for myself. Its complete with blues, indiefolk, and some soulful tunes. In creating this I have found some amazing music. I am really into folk music with alot of violin action.

Anyways here a lil update I started last week at my new job at UVa medical center. I had to do 3 days of orientation/training/cpr class. I started in the department on Tuesday, I know its not going to be a easy starting off. I am really going to have to work hard and learn! I am excited though about the future!

Update/Roadtrip playlist

So I haven't been posting lately because I recently just made a huge decision in my life. If you for some reason missed the 100 posts on facebook about my recent adventure here it is....I just moved to Charlottesville, VA for a job at the UVA medical center. I am so excited about this new adventure, but I also am super nervous. I mean this is a big step I am now 9 hours away from my hometown in GA. However, I really feel in my heart that this is a great opportunity for me. Just being out of school us NEWBIES just need a chance. Most jobs around GA prefer experience. I am just thankful for such a great opportunity. Its exciting to be able to work for a hospital that is actually making money. I will of course miss my family, but I feel as if its an adventure for us all. This past weekend my parents and my sister helped me move. It was of course stressful, but I am lucky to have such supportive family to help! I am glad they got to come out and see Charlottesville. Its really pretty here. The UVA college campus is absolutely beautiful. I am lucky to be in walking distance to the University. Here some pictures of our exploring Charlottesville this weekend!

Also, above is my favorite mix currently. Its a bunch of songs I listened to on my trip to VA.

Yes, that is a Dwight pancake. This was at my now new favorite breakfast place called Blue Moon Diner. My friends Mary and Christian took me here when I was down for my interview. I then took my family here because it was soo good. My sista ordered a pancake and this is what came out and now im in love with the place.

For some reason I just love this pic

Autumn MIX - Really good stuff

Source: google.com via Sara on Pinterest

I wanted to share my recent playlist of some music I am listening. It features some new and older songs. I am really excited about some new music coming out. Florence and the Machine has a new album coming out Oct 31st, Ceremonials! Super stoked about it (maybe even more stoked than Halloween) and her new songs Shake it out and Only if for a night (On the playlist) are amazing. Black keys just released a new song lonely boy (on the playlist)! Its pretty awesome and I cant wait for the new album,  El Camino to come out Dec. 6th. Also, like I posted previous First Aid Kit has a new album that comes out sometime in Jan 2012 called Lions Roar.
Feist just had a album launch (Metals) Oct 3, which I want to get my hands on because the song How Come You Never Go There is awesome.
Boy & Bear is an indie rock band that my brother got me into, their album Moonfire is definitely worth listening to.
Enjoy!

Old School Playlist

Here are some songs that I use to listen to alot when I was middle/highschool days. I wanted to make a old school playlist because its so funny how much my music taste has changed. Most of these songs I still like, but I went thru my phases. I use to love rab/r&b/hiphop, then I went thru my rock/pop phase and then it was more of alternative/grunge/rock phase. I will admit when I went through the pop phase like every teenage girl I loved NSYNC however, I will not be added them to any of my playlist so dont worry :)....
Now I like more folk/indie/rock more than anything. However when I was younger I didnt listen to radiohead much it wasnt til college (even the older stuff) that I started listening to them so I didnt put them on my playlist

My Top albums of 2010

So I love music. This past year Ive really expanded in what type of music I listen to. I think what makes a great album is when you can pretty much listen to the whole album without skipping over any songs and have it on repeat. So heres my top albums from this past year and they are in no particular order.

The Black Keys - Brothers
I love the black keys I also love their previous albums too!

Arcade Fire - Suburbs
I actually found this band this year they had previous albums before, but I really grew to love them thru their suburbs album. Such an amazing album I wanna see this band in concert so bad.

Mumford and Sons - Sign no More
Ive always hated country music, however I have found thru this band I love folk music. Listening to this album just makes me soo happy. I honestly wanna learn how to play a banjo or a fiddle. Also another band Im dying to see in concert.

Local Natives- Gorilla Manor
Ugh I can't tell you enough how great this album is! I cant wait for them to come out with a new one. I had the privilege of seeing them in concert and let me tell you they harmonize just as good in concert! They are pure amazing :)

Kings of Leon- Come around Sundown
Yep they are just all around great. I love this album.
Broken Bells - Broken Bells
I love to play this album in the car on repeat. I really love James Mercers voice something calming about it. I also like the Shins alot 2 tho.

ALL Album Cover art found at Amazon

SO heres a Playlist of some of my fav songs off these albums for some it was hard to chose so I ended up putting 2 songs from each album on the playlist.
